Meet Me and How I Came To Be...

Ok let’s get the intro’s out of the way so that I can start posting some amazing updates for you guys! My name is Gigi and if you haven’t already guessed, I am the newest blogger that’s been invited to the team. I believe in keeping it short and sweet so here goes. I hail all the way from Sydney Australia, where the beaches are beautiful, the accents are distinctive and we use the metric system LOL. I’m aware most of our readers are from the States so here’s a few interesting facts about us Aussies that will help us to get to know each other;

1. Most of us have never seen a Kangaroo or Koala outside of a Zoo (hehe) despite what many people seem to believe they do not hop around in our yards (sorry to disappoint!)

2. We do not use the word “mate” in every sentence (unlike crocodile Dundee) and I don’t use it at all

3. We don’t use the letter ‘Z’ in as many words as the Americans, for example we spell “apologize” and “realize” with the letter ‘S’ so its “apologise” and “realise”. I know it looks weird now but you’ll get used to it

4. Last but definitely not least we have a HUGE number of die-hard Twilight fans!

So now that you know a little more about the country I’m from, I will tell you how I came to be a part of this blog. I am a newborn Twilight fan who only read the series for the first time about 4 months ago. One of my best friends continually nagged me to read the first book and then the frenzy began. I became completely immersed in the series and didn’t go to work for three days straight so I could stay in bed and read! Of course once I finished I was overwhelmed with a deep feeling of depression and so I started surfing online for anything Twilight related. News, pictures, blogs, deleted chapters, movie filming dates, all of these things seemed to make me feel better and they brought on a strange urge to begin writing. Writing anything, letters to the author, my own chapters, news blogs as long as it was Twilight related I could write forever. Then I was lucky enough to come across this great blog run by the ever so intelligent Anna and given the chance to contribute. I will not call this my happy ending as I see it more as my happy beginning. I sincerely hope you enjoy my future posts and look forward to your feedback. PEACE. LOVE. TWILIGHT.
