Twilight wanna be's

After watching the horrible tragedy that was the Vampire Diaries, I started realizing that this probably won't be the last Twilight wanna be to jump on the bandwagon.

If you've read the book you will know the events that happened on the show are out of sync and basically made to follow Twilight in a way. I was reading on some of the internet blogs that most people commenting are saying it is like Twilight.

When your in the bookstore or on Amazon you ever notice how the booksellers/publishers are trying to push any book remotely close as the next Twilight?

I guess it would just be nice if people realized that those of us reading the material or watching the tv show are not mindless twits who will jump when they say how high. There is a flaw in their logic. There is only one Twilight. Just like there is only one Vampire Diaries. Just like there is only one True Blood. And just like there is only one Buffy.

What I'm getting at is that there is enough room for all these vampy shows, as evidenced by the popularity of them, even Buffy. It would just be nice if the powers that be give shows like Vampire Diaries a chance to be the original bad a$$ show it is without trying to make it a bad Twilight wanna be.
