Live-PR says that casting is finished for New Moon.

The casting director for New Moon, Joseph Middleton, has announced that "We are finished with the casting process". No details on the cast list has been released by Summit Entertainment.

Unfortunately, there is no info about who, exactly, has been casted.

Showbiz Spy has an article reporting on how Rob "might make an album"!

He reveals, "I might make an album but not through a record company or anything. I'd like to do something independent.

"I don't care if people buy it or not. I'd just like to have it just for myself so I can work with good musicians and stuff."

Vancouver vs. Oregon

Oregon Business Magazine has an article about why New Moon will be filmed in Vancouver instead of Oregon, like Twilight was.

Vince Porter, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Film and Television estimates producers spent $20 million in the state. New Moon, which is reportedly budgeted at $50 million, up from the $37 million Twilight budget, would likely have brought in even more.

Porter says filmmakers were partly concerned that Oregon wouldn’t have the production resources to support two Twilight sequels being made back-to-back. The lower Canadian dollar also made filming in British Columbia cheaper.

Then just as the film office was trying its best to lure back Twilight producers, CBS Films committed to film The Untitled Crowley Project starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Frasier in Oregon, eating up the state’s film resources and crews, he says.
