Critics of the series and its followers who feel this way cite the rumored demographics of Twilight fans, but I offer you this article in response. While there is an element of sensationalism to the series, it is a result of excitement, not only about the success of the series, and our enjoyment of seeing the beautiful stories brought to life on the big screen, but it is also about the fact that the Twilight series has caused people to come together in discussion, as have many of the great novels (Have you seen Oprah's book club following lately? It's beyond words).
