In The Reason, an all-human story by temporaryinsanity91, Edward is far away in Alaska, behaving like a juvenile delinquent, unaware that anyone named Bella Swan exists. When he moves to Forks and is forced to complete his community service hours at the hospital where his father works, he meets a beautiful coma victim. A coma victim who was hit by a van on a snowy day at school. A coma victim named Bella Swan. As Edward learns more about Bella, he begins to wonder: how can someone who never wakes up have such an impact on him?

The Reason branches out of one of the biggest moments in Twilight into an entirely new, fresh story. By taking the pivotal car accident scene and turning it into a completely different story, the author takes a risk and she succeeds. She keeps all the main characters of the original Saga, changing their personalities here and there to compliment her story. This fanfic piece is sweet, the chapters are short and easy to read, and the author updates frequently. Currently 15 chapters, The Reason just keeps getting better. While parts are a bit angsty, the story is a true love story. It's a story of finding out who you are and how love, even when found under the oddest of circumstances, can make you into someone you never thought you could be. The Reason is a story worth reading.
